Inventory Market Holidays 2022: The inventory markets will stay shut on 9 August (Tuesday) on account of Muharram. In the meantime, nation’s largest commodity trade – the Multi Commodity Change of India (MCX) will stay closed within the morning session between 9 and 5 pm on Muharram. It should resume buying and selling within the night session from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm.
In August, the fairness and commodity markets will stay closed for buying and selling on three events on account of Muharram, Independence Day and Ganesh Chaturthi. These holidays can be on common buying and selling days. These holidays can be other than common buying and selling holidays on Saturday and Sundays.
The fairness markets can be closed for buying and selling on 9 August which is the day of Muharram (Tuesday). They may even stay closed on 15 August (Monday) on account of India’s Independence Day and 31 August (Wednesday) on account of Ganesh Chaturthi.
On Ganesh Chaturthi, MCX will resume buying and selling within the night session from 5 pm to 11:30/11:55 pm. MCX will stay closed for buying and selling in each classes on 15th August.
As for the agriculture commodity index NCDEX (Nationwide Commodity & Derivatives Change Restricted), the trade can be closed for buying and selling in each classes i.e. within the morning (9 am to five pm) and night (5 pm to 9 pm).
Aside from this, the markets will stay closed on 4 different events in 2022 in October and November. The times are 05 October (Wednesday), 24 October (Monday) and 26 October (Wednesday) on account of Dussehra, Dwali or Laxmi Pujan and Diwali Balipratipada.
In November there can be one buying and selling vacation on eight November on account of Gurunanak Jayanti. It’s falling on Tuesday.
